How To Get The Cheapest Car Insurance For Women In Oklahoma

My friend told me that women drivers usually get cheap car insurance than male. How does one get the cheapest car insurance?

Laura

Oklahoma City OK

Most car insurance companies usually provide the cheapest car insurance for women especially if they do not have any traffic violations and accidents. The reason why insurers provide cheap car insurance for women is because women are seen less as a risk by most car insurance companies. It does not necessarily mean that women are better drivers than male drivers though. According to statistics, women are more responsible and tend to drive slower than most male drivers. This kind of behavior actually rewards them to get the cheapest car insurance for women.

Other than that, if you really want to make sure you get the cheapest rate there is, you will need to maintain your good driving record. Avoid making claims. It would also be helpful if you keep a good credit standing as well. If you are going to add additional drivers (most especially teens) in your car insurance policy, it would be better if they take defensive driving course first. This will surely help lower your car insurance rate. If you have more than one car you would like to insure, then have them insured with the same company to take full advantage of multi-vehicle discounts. It would also lower your car insurance rate if you get more than one insurances (other than car insurance) from the same insurance company (ex. life, homeowners, renters etc.)

A lot of car insurance companies are now offering a policy catering solely for a women drivers. There various websites out there that would find the cheapest car insurance for women quotes. You could save as much as 30% more if you search online than if you have looked into individual car insurance companies single agent at a time.

High Risk Driver Auto Insurance Oklahoma

My friend was involved in several traffic violations. He has a bad driving record. And I guess this is the reason why he’s having difficulty getting cheap car insurance since I’ve heard that having a bad driving record makes you a high risk driver. What I wanna know is how does one become a high risk driver? Also, what can he do to get high risk auto insurance for himself?

Liana

Tulsa OK

You heard it right Liana. Having a bad driving record makes one a high risk driver.

Let me just tell you the other reasons that makes a person a high risk driver:

One, is if your license is suspended, cancelled, or you are required to carry SR-22 certificate. Usually a person who experienced those means they had serious traffic violations;

Another is when you are 70 years older. Studies showed that as you aged your driving abilities is also affected thus the tendency to get involved in car accidents are higher as compared to when you are younger.

In addition, if you are 20 years old or below. In contrast with being an old driver, younger drivers involvement in car accidents are found to be higher as compared to older drivers (those who are 20 years and above but below 70 years old).

Lastly, if you have bad driving record just like in your friend’s case. The reason for this is very simple, if you are involved in several accidents or traffic violations that mean you are not a careful driver thus you entail higher risk to be insured as compared to those who maintain clean driving records.

As to your question on how your friend can get high risk auto insurance for himself, I would suggest to check on the websites. There are several car insurance companies that specialize in high risk auto insurance. Also, it would help him more if he could check with his car insurance agent in getting high risk auto insurance in Oklahoma.
